It’s not uncommon that a brand has problems with a manufacturer but chooses to stay with them because the issues are known. Rather than risk changing to another manufacturer with different problems, you choose to stay where you are. One such customer approached us with a refresh to their traditional subwoofer line noting that it would be a ‘long-shot’ for us to win the business, as they managed to get along with the current vendor and purchasing was pushing to reduce vendors.
Tymphany not only won the business, but our design and engineering teams quickly assessed the project and within a few weeks turned around samples and met with the design team for tuning and final design adjustments. Tymphany and customer upper management met and quickly came to agreement and the product was on its way to outselling all other subs in its class.
