Senior Loudspeaker Systems Engineer

Tymphany is looking for loudspeaker systems engineers that have strong communications skills to facilitate effective interaction between Western customers and Tymphany's China based product development team. Excellent communication skills in English are required, with oral and/or written Mandarin skills desired. Relocation to Tymphany's state-of-the-art design and manufacturing complex in China for a period may also be required.

The ability to specify transducer requirements including small signal parameters, power handling, and linearity requirements is important. Past transducer design experience is preferred. The ability to voice loudspeaker systems for the high quality home loudspeaker market is essential. Experience in loudspeaker manufacturing and project management is also preferred. The successful candidate will be able to work with the customer and project team to meet price, performance, and timing targets in a fast paced environment.

Experience with computerized speaker analysis and modeling software, and excellent knowledge of test and measurement systems – e.g., LEAP, MLSSA, LMS, Audio Precision, Sound Check is important. A BS in Physics, BSEE, or BSME or equivalent with 5 years of experience in the design, development, prototyping, testing and manufacturing of loudspeaker transducers and systems is preferred.
