JOB DESCRIPTION

The position of Resident Account and Business Development (BD) Manager is a multi-faceted role. The Resident Account/BD Manager is expected to be a technical coordinator who will support the cross-functional team and the end customer. The position will be located between the US Office (North Bay) and at customer location (South Bay).

 

Specific Duties include:

  • Facilitate all business and technical communication between the customer project team and the development team in China or Taiwan.
  • Communicate with customer to track project requirements relating to cost, schedule and features.
  • Manage project documentation including checklists, design reviews, quality documents and validation plans by working with the cross functional team.
  • Monitor issues onsite with customer and coordinate corrective actions
  • Report progress and raise issues to management at regular intervals
  • Provide design feedback to the customer in response to product requirement requests
  • Lead lessons-learned activities
  • Manage weekly issue review and status report meetings.
  • With the help of our local technical team, facilitate in-market tests, prototype validation and benchmarking
  • Help prepare proposals, quotations, agendas, etc.
  • Manage and maintain account and project information in our CRM
  • Set up and conduct demonstrations of acoustic product and related technology for our customers

 

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS

  • Excellent English (Mandarin a major plus), both written and oral.
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree education in a relevant field (technical discipline preferred).
  • 3-5 years working experience in a technical or manufacturing discipline.
    • (e.g. Mechanical/acoustics, electronics or embedded, industrial or process engineering)
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office software, experience of MS Project preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation including 2D drawings, 3D models, schematics, datasheets and test specifications.
  • Must be able to build rapport with both customer and team to give 1st class customer service.

Responsibilities
The Senior Transducer Engineer is responsible for developing specific product ranges of high-quality loudspeakers from concept through production for some of the world’s leading high end brands.

He or she should posses the following core competencies:

  • Design and specification of loudspeaker drive units
  • Problem solving and product trouble shooting
  • Help to manage the development of audio systems with interdisciplinary teamwork approach
  • Project related task management of supporting engineers
  • Interface between company and customers
  • Fluent in English

The Senior Transducer Engineer must understand the specific requirements of loudspeaker design. A central objective is to achieve long-term customer loyalty through exceptional product development, and to ensure a long-term business relationship by being efficient, technically competent and responsive.  The loudspeaker systems engineer will exhibit good working knowledge of driver design. They will also have significant working experience with the introduction of new loudspeaker products.

Required Experience and skills:

  • 5 or more years of loudspeaker development experience
  • Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Acoustics or extensive high level experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English (Mandarin is not required)
  • Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment
